Objective

Customize the look and feel of emails sent to clients from Coconut to represent your organization’s brand by creating a branded email template.

Steps

Access email branding

1. From the navigation menu, click Settings

2. From Branding, click Email

Customize the header

The header is the content that displays at the beginning of emails sent from Coconut. To customize the header:

1. From Upload Branding Image, do one of the following:

   • Drag and drop the header image onto the target

   • Click or select from your computer to choose the header image from a saved location

   • NOTE: Images must be either 540px or 1080 px wide and be in .png format

2. To make the header image a clickable element linked to your website, enter the address in the Website URL field

Hot Tip!

Leave the Upload Branding Image option blank, to use your organization’s Company Name only as the header.

Add social media

When added, social media icons display prior to the footer in emails sent from Coconut. To add social media:

1. From Links, enter the profile/account URL for each social media platform your organization will include in emails.

2. Select your preferred icon style

3. Set the background color for the banner that displays as a backdrop to the social media icons:

   • From Background Color, click the color bar

   • Enter the RGB values for the desired color

   • NOTE: To use HSL or HEX values, click the selector arrows that follow RGB and enter the corresponding values

Customize the footer

The footer displays at the end of emails sent from Coconut. To customize the footer:

1. Enter the URL for the website that will be linked to in the email footer

2. To update the display text for the footer URL, enter the desired text in the Website Display Text field

3. Enter a phone number where clients can reach your organization in the Phone Number field

4. Enter any additional text, such as your organization’s slogan or motto, in the Text field

   • NOTE: This text is the final item displayed in emails sent from Coconut

Customize email formatting

To customize formatting options:

1. Select your desired font; this font will be used for all text included in emails

2. Set the highlight color for the calls to action/buttons that display in emails:

   1. From Highlight Color, click the color bar

   2. Enter the RGB values for the desired color

   3. NOTE: To use HSL or HEX values, click the selector arrows that follow RGB and enter the corresponding values

Preview the template

1. Enter your email in the email field

2. Click Send Test Email

3. Navigate to your email program and review the sample email

4. When satisfied with the custom branded template, click Save

A branded email template in preview mode; the header image at the beginning of the message - when clicked - directs the user to the organization's website; the end of the message includes a CTA to connect with the organization's social media channels, a footer with contact details, and the organization's slogan as additional text

Email themes for specific Services

Email branding templates can be created which differ by Service, and do not effect email themes globally. For more information on creating service-specific email themes, please reach out to your Customer Success team.

A note on access and visibility

Admins can access Settings to create a branded email template.
